Hope your Turkey day was delish and everyone ate til they popped! I had to share a few pics from our little gathering. I'm so proud because I cooked the entire meal (minus the deep-fried bird, that's how we do it in the bayou). Oh, and Jean's sweet potato/pecan confection. Yum! We had Neil's mom and grandma over. Sadie wasn't feeling so well, but she sure warmed up once company came. She started running and showing off, saying all her phrases and repeating anything and everything. She even pooped in the potty for everyone's amusement! She's too much.
Here's Neil doing the masculine task of cutting the turkey with the power knife. Of course, he'd never done it. So he asked his mom and grandma if he was doing it right!

Then here's my pride and joy...carrot puree (ok, sounds gross maybe but it was in my Martha Steward Living), mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, cream corn, sweet potatoe cassarole, green beans and cranberry stuffing and cranberry orange sauce. Oh, and gravy in a can!

Here's Sadie pushing her potty into the living room to show everyone how she pooped in it...she was very proud of her accomplishment and loved having an audience for her stunts.

Here's Neil, his grandma (Ma Ma Kennison) and Neil's mom, Jean. They were reading stories with Sadie who showed off by pointing to each animal and telling them what it was and what noise it made. His grandma couldn't believe how smart she is! Of course, with a mother like me what do you expect? Just joking (slightly). Neil does contribute half the genes, I think.
